Sustainability is not straight-forward. There is no place for simplistic checklists in such an important and complex issue. What is needed is careful, critical and creative thinking.
The term 'sustainments' draws attention to the fact that our ability to think what needs to be thought is sometimes limited by current terminology. When you are trying to talk about fundamental things that go against the grain of our everyday habits, designing with language is often very useful.
