This website is run by the EcoDesign Foundation, an incorporated non-profit association that exists to accelerate the change toward more sustainable cultures and economies through design, research and education.

EDF has members, who annually elect a board to ensure that all EDF's activities are directed in the most effective way possible toward its objectives as set out in its Articles of Association. EDF works toward its own disappearance at a time when being more sustainable is one of the primary aims of all human activities.

EDF was founded in 1991 and is based in Sydney, Australia , though it works internationally with associations in the Americas, Asia, Europe and the United States.
